MOVING STORY
Back in 1962, one man showed exceptional
foresight, recognising a growing demand for automated
vehicle loading and unloading. With this in mind, Cecil
Greasley founded Newland Engineering, little realising
that it would become the leading manufacturer of vehicle
loading and unloading conveyors.
1962 - Company founded
by Cecil Greasley
1965 - First telescopic conveyor
1969 - First machine exported
1970 - Company takes on it's first
apprentice
1975 - move into current premises
1980 - First Multi-telescopic conveyor
1981 - Attended Manutention exhibition,
Paris
1982 - Worldwide distributor network
established
1984 - First Manrider telescopic conveyor
1990 - First Autoloader developed to
provide fully automatic loading
1991 - Premises extended doubling manufacturing
capacity
1991 - First Railcar loader
1997 - Apprentice of the year award
from HRH the Duke of Edinburgh
2006 - Special heavy duty telescopic
conveyor developed for turkish denim manufacturer
2007 - Celebrate 45 years of materials
