From humble beginnings in 1962, Newland have become established as a leading manufacturer of heavy duty vehicle loading and unloading telescopic boom conveyors. We have an enviable reputation world-wide for providing a well engineered product, with thoughtful design and a superior build quality.

With an extensive and versatile range of both mobile and fixed telescopic boom conveyors, Newland have proved to be the number one choice of many Parcel, Postal and Catalogue companies. Our conveyors can be seen in Warehouse and Distribution Centres throughout the world, conveying goods as diverse as parcel and mail sacks, tyres, carpets, rolls of cloth, mattresses, sacks/bags of coffee beans, sugar, flour, plasma TV’s and flat-pack furniture to name but a few.

Newland’s ethos of keeping up to date has meant that our machine models have constantly evolved to embrace all that is new in design and 'state of the art' technology.

The success of Newland’s product range is no secret. We take great care to listen to our customer’s requirements, and as a result, Newland have gained valuable knowledge both ‘in the field’ and with feed-back from our customer’s and our dedicated team of Service Engineers.

Newland were the first to design and supply automatic telescopic boom conveyors to the Mail Order and Catalogue companies. The conveyors were fully automated and thus removed the need for personnel to manually off-load the goods from the belt into the trailer. The cost benefits to these companies were enormous both in terms of reduced man-power, and in the reduction of time taken to perform the task required.

In today’s fast moving environment, customers demand conveyors with a high reliability factor, which also require low maintenance. Newland manufacture a reliable, well engineered product, capable of operating in harsh and punishing environments.

Newland are justifiably proud of their export success in many countries of the world, and with machines operating in Africa and the Middle East, in some very tough environments, a maintenance friendly design and high build quality, have kept these machines in service over many years.

Newland continue to this day with their Apprenticeship Programme, which was started back in 1968. Recruiting from local schools and colleges, the Apprenticeship Programme has proved very successful, culminating in qualified Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
